The Haunting of Holly House script is done!!!  It’s a 185 page monster.  There will be a scripting meeting sometime in the next two weeks.

I completed the first draft of the latest version of “The Haunting of Holly House”. It runs 127 pages currently but as things are added, subtracted or modified, that page count will go up or down. In the business one page normally equals a minute of screen time but I always saw “Holly House” being a two hour feature film however the story evolved over the years. Early drafts of “Holly House” would have been too expensive to make, so this final version has the best chance of actually being successfully produced.

We’ve been scouting locations too. Ron Toth, Deborah A. Taylor and I have been looking for a classic farm house with a barn for one of the main locations. We think we’ve located Holly House itself – large and gothic – here in New Jersey and we’ll have to work out the details with the owners. We’re still looking for an all night diner, a book store, a motel, a police headquarters, a hospital, a church and other required locations. In some cases unrelated locations can be converted into what we need.

We’re also looking for experienced actors, experienced crew members and computer effects artists experienced in photo realistic 3D animation.

I want to have a realistic shooting schedule for this movie. We shot “Haunted Hay Ride: The Movie” in only four months and it turned out good and garnered very positive reviews. “Hate’s Haunted Slay Ride” took nearly two years and for me was an awful experience despite the completed movie turning out good and it also getting a positive critical response. My ultimate goal is to make two movies a year. Three movies a year would be even better. But that would require a well oiled machine, like Hammer Films in England had or Roger Corman in Hollywood had, and that’s tough to pull off here in New Jersey unfortunately.

Warner Brothers screened “Haunted Hay Ride: The Movie” and “Hate’s Haunted Slay Ride” for distribution consideration and I’m hoping that they will do the same for “The Haunting of Holly House” when it’s completed.

Casting is ongoing.  Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  for more information.
